The Portsmouth Baseball Diamond Club was originally formed in 2003, to assist the high school baseball program in raising funds for much needed additional equipment and improvements to the facilities. Through these diligent efforts and hard work, the Portsmouth High baseball program has evolved into one of the top programs in the state, as well as having facilities, that in 2006 were nominated as one of the best in the United States. The PBDC, in 2012 completely renovated the infield thrugh its' efforts.
It is impossible for the Diamond Club to exist, and to provide the many things that it has in the past (and plans to in the future), without the support of our local businesses and individuals. We will strive to continue to enhance and strengthen our position among RI high schools as a premier baseball program and facility. We ask that you please continue to support our efforts.
We encourage participation from parents of players at all levels to help us provide the best support possible. If each parent can work 1 to 2 games in the concession stand, then the workload is evenly distributed. Also, help is needed in the March timeframe to get the field ready for play.
Please join us at our next Portsmouth Baseball Diamond Club meeting.
